Who we are

What we collect
When you contact us or do business with us, we may process business contact details, company information, correspondence, product and sourcing requirements, quotations, orders, delivery information, payment and invoice information, and information reasonably relevant to business due diligence, credit assessment, compliance and food traceability. We receive information directly from you and may also obtain relevant business information from public registers and commercial business-information providers. Our website host may process standard technical data such as IP address and browser information to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations or samples, manage customer, supplier and commercial relationships, administer orders, deliveries and payments, carry out reasonable business due diligence, credit and compliance checks, meet legal, accounting, food-safety and traceability obligations, and protect legitimate commercial and legal interests. Depending on the processing involved, our legal basis is taking steps toward or performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, or our legitimate business interests. We do not sell personal data or use it for behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the request and any ongoing business relationship. Enquiries with no follow-up are generally deleted after 24 months. Business-administration records are retained for the applicable statutory period, generally at least seven years in the Netherlands. Other information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose.
Who we share it with
We may share data where necessary with service providers and business partners that support our operations, including website and IT providers, email and communications providers, accounting or CRM providers, logistics providers, laboratories or product-service providers, banks and payment providers, professional advisers, business-information or compliance providers, and competent authorities where legally required. Recipients may act as processors on our instructions or, where appropriate, as independent controllers under their own legal responsibilities.
International transfers
If a provider we use stores data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict it, or stop using it. You can also ask to receive it in a portable form. To do any of these, email info@kernlane.com. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Technical processing by our website host may be used to keep the site secure and working. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will provide clear information, ask for your consent first through a cookie banner, and update this policy.
